Copyright & DMCA policy

Every producer who submits a track to Selecta Trax warrants that the work is entirely their own, original and unencumbered (see Terms of use). If you nonetheless believe a track infringes your copyright or another intellectual property right, we want to know and will act on valid notices promptly. Selecta Trax is based in the EU, so EU notice-and-action rules govern us — we also follow the notice format popularised by the US DMCA below because it is the format most rights holders already know how to use, not because we claim US DMCA safe-harbor status.
Designated contact. Send infringement notices to vault@selectatrax.example with the subject line “Copyright notice”.
A valid notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
- The exact URL(s) on Selecta Trax where the material appears.
- Your contact details (name, email, and postal address if available).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What happens next. On receiving a valid notice we suspend the track from sale while we investigate, and notify the producer who submitted it. If the claim is confirmed, the track is permanently removed and any pending claim on it is cancelled and refunded.
Counter-notice. If you are the producer and believe a track was removed in error, write to the same address with: the material removed and its former URL, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, your contact details, and your signature. We will consider reinstating the track after review.
Repeat infringers. Producers who receive more than one substantiated copyright claim have their account terminated and all their listings removed.
